Although the economic slowdown has affected overall FTE’s in many Healthcare organizations, you can rest assured that this is only temporary and demand will soon outstrip supply for qualified licensed professionals. The latest survey by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) sees personnel shortages as a top 5 concern for 2009. Many progressive and forward thinking clients are using the downturn in the economy to top grade their talent, as many top professionals are seeking organizations with the financial where withal and leadership to weather the economic storm. Many progressive organizations see the Return on Investment (ROI) from acquiring top talent thru Healthcare Scouts. Progressive organizations understand that the investment made in professional level recruiting fees will more than offset with longer retention and referral benefits. The placement of one professional in a high level position, such as pharmacist, nurse case manager, or other professional level position can attract up to 5-10 referrals that will follow the professional that was placed. The easiest way to reduce recruiter fees is to retain your people and invest in top talent that will invigorate your professional referral pipeline.
